Zapcc
Ok, so here are some premilinary results on zapcc++
I have done a full build clean build for both, so please keep in mind that the documentation generation was taking some time in the process too.
My source tree is on a hard drive, but build dir is on a SSD.
All build were done with -j9
~/vcsn/configure CXX='g++' CXXFLAGS='-O2' CPPFLAG='-DNDEBUG' -C
real 2m9.491s
user 12m27.027s
sys 0m20.757s
~/vcsn/configure CXX='zapcc++' LDFLAGS='-lpython3.5m' CXXFLAGS='-O2' CPPFLAG='-DNDEBUG' -C
real 1m58.572s
user 5m44.487s
sys 0m11.823s
There is not much difference between the builds real time, but if you look a user time, zapcc is about twice as fast !
I had to add the -LDFLAGS for some reason, and removed the possibility of --std=1z
from configure.ac
, or zapcc failed... But it is probably some incompatibility between my system headers and what they expect.
Now on to running the full test suite !
